Some artists are born with a mic in their hand, others find it along the way. For DV With The Hanafuda, music has always been there—quietly waiting behind his early days of athletic success, until the time was right. Now, with raw talent and a heavy heart, DV is here to show the world what he’s made of.
“I’ve been interested in music since I was a kid,” DV shares. “I just happen to have good athletic genes in me and that was a detour.” That detour might’ve delayed the journey, but it never stopped the passion. And now, it’s full throttle ahead.

The passing of his mother on November 20, 2024, became a turning point in his story. “That’s all the motivation I need,” he says, carrying her memory as fuel for everything he creates. His sound isn’t just music—it’s therapy, reflection, and resilience all rolled into one.

DV’s latest single is more than just a track—it’s the intro to his upcoming project titled “What Have You Done For Me Lately?” The name itself hints at something personal, something real, something powerful that’s coming our way.
As for collaborations? “I’m in a mood like J. Cole,” he says. “Trying to do a bunch by myself and let everyone know I can be one of them ones without help.” Still, the attention is building. DV admits that people have been reaching out—but for now, it’s about proving that he can stand tall on his own.
When asked when he started his career, DV doesn’t hesitate: “Since I was born, I just didn’t know it yet.”
With a project in the works, a hunger to make his mark, and a story that’s as real as it gets, DV With The Hanafuda isn’t chasing a dream—he’s living it.
