The Rise of Kavlick

Kavlick has emerged as a powerhouse in the Fredericksburg, VA music scene, offering a captivating fusion of psychedelic rock, classic rock, and grunge. The band was founded in the summer of 2021 by guitarist and vocalist Luna Kavlick and drummer Sam Gardner (Sag) through a shared passion for music. Their strong musical connection quickly fueled their creative journey.

Evolution and Growth

Kavlick evolved significantly in 2022 and 2023, performing throughout Virginia with their original lineup. Due to the bassist being stationed in the army and the guitarist looking to pursue other musical opportunities, the band underwent changes.
Starting out by writing songs in Sam’s father’s basement, Kavlick has come a long way. By late 2023, they expanded their lineup with guitarist James King and bassist Owen Devine, bringing fresh energy to the group. This momentum led to the recording of their debut album, Retrieval, which officially dropped in November 2024.

Kavlick’s distinctive sound blends the rawness of 90s grunge, the flair of 80s hair metal, and the timeless essence of 70s classic rock. Their electrifying guitar work, compelling vocals, and dynamic rhythms set them apart, offering listeners a mix of nostalgia and originality.
